Primary Care Petition

11/1/2009

We've started a blog in honor of our first anniversary!
Help improve health care for your patients.  If you are a physician practicing in the United States, please post your name signing this petition to both improve the compensation of primary care physicians and achieve greater parity with specialty physicians:
We, the undersigned urge Medicare and other payors to change compensation policies to improve the reimbursement for evaluation and management codes.  We understand that some reduction in reimbursement for procedure codes may be required as a necessary spending offset.  Without this reform, America will never achieve the number of primary care doctors required to optimize care for all its citizens.

Thank you. I am honored to know the orthopedic doctors here who recognize the value we all have in caring for patients.

Nice job, JIm. As a family doc, it's nice hearing some support from our specialist colleagues.
